Works For Me Wednesday-Froot Loops and Pipe Cleaners

Today's tip is quick and easy: Froot Loops, pipe cleaners and a ziploc baggie.

I take them on airplanes and to church to keep my kids occupied for a little while. Sometimes I use Cheerios or a mixture of the two. They can make the standard bracelets or necklaces, or get more creative. I am not creative, and they are not at home, so you'll have to settle for my poor attempt at a fish.

Works for me!

Check out Rocks in My Dryer for other great ideas.

Sweet idea! I've done pipe cleaners to entertain and baggies of cereal. Never thought of putting them together. Brilliant!

What?! Where do you moms come up with all these great ideas?! I'm feeling like less of a fun mom every time I read one of these!! I better get my act together!

Very cute idea!!

i used to fill film canisters with beads and lanyard string for portable beading kits when i do med missions- this one is far yummier and better for small hands- although I better not try it with NPO patients

Cute idea! There are so many things I need to file away in my brain for when I have kids--of the human variety, not the ferret or lovebird variety. ;)

That is a great idea. I'm always looking for new ideas to keep kids quiet at church. My boys would even like that one.

I've enjoyed reading your posts. I spent 5 yrs in Mexico City as a kid and have so many fond memories. I miss those hands that used to clean three days a week for us, much more now as a mom than I did as a kid! Enjoy it!

So crafty! Love that you did this by yourself while the kids were away!!!

Gabs, I love that idea. I had a box of Fruit Loops in my cart tonight and then put it back. Now I am kicking myself because I've got to make another trip.

Never thought of doing this, but what a great idea! I'll have to try it on Sunday.

(P.S. where on earth did you find pipe cleaners in Mexico?)

It's a craft, a fashionable bracelet , a fish and a snack!

I'm with Tess and the shrimp

My kids are too old for this, maybe I should try it for myself (Sacrament meeting and a snack, yum)
