Getting to Know My Laptop Again

I have been a lazy, bad, bad, blogger lately. We went on vacation to Utah and it was like I took a vacation from my computer too. My apologies, I have no good excuse.

Our trip was great. It was hard to come back to real life yesterday. Here are some highlights (please forgive me for this boring, grandparent-pleasing post)

Tubing at Soldier's Hallow (the easiest tubing EVER, perfect for pregnant ladies like me and my sister-in-laws):

Hanging out with cousins:

Getting money from Grandma Sue and Granddude:

to visit Build a Bear:

Guapo, my hero, took all three kids skiing by himself:

...while I went shopping by myself.

The shortest and coldest trip EVER to Temple Square. Living in Mexico has really thinned our blood.

We walked around while the first victims of the stomach flu waited in the Visitors Center. Ultimately 9 of 10 adults and 6 of 8 kids fell to the nasty bug. Luckily Grandma Sue and Granddude have 4 bathrooms in their new home. They were all well used:

And of course, how could we visit Midway without a trip to the bowling alley?

I bowled a "turkey" my last 2 frames to take down my hot-shot brother-in-law. Poor guy, getting beat by an off-balance pregnant lady. Man, it felt great!

Is that the kind of tubing that tows you back up to the top, too? Looks like a mostly great time. Too bad about the stomach bug.

Been checking your blog nonstop and it's great to see you back! Well, I'm looking forward to your Christmas shopping blog. Missing you from across the globe! More posts please....

Holiday Lanes! Our favorite place to bowl! So cheap and so "small town feel". I forgot you guys are in Midway.

It is probably good for us to take a blogging break from time to time :)!!

Loved seeing your pictures and what you have been up to. It looks like you had a blast on your trip - minus the flu and the cold weather.

wahoo bowling champ! I wanted to go skiing/snowboarding so bad but we just didnt' have enough time.

Isn't it hard to go back to the cold after being away so long? It was also hard to go back to Mexico after seeing EVERYTHING available in the US.

glad you are back!

Welcome back! It sounds like you had a great holiday, and a great trip. But, the stomach flu twice?! Did I read that right? I guess you had to have the states version AND the Mexican version? Yuck!

Looks like fun! I love temple square with all the lights up.

It'd be so fun to meet you next time you're in Utah. Maybe we can meet up some time.

Good times...Good times...

It is so weird to come here and see snow! LOL, I forget you are not required to never leave Mexico...

So cool! We just got back from Utah visiting both sets of grandparents and we missed the lights at Temple Square. We were incredibly bummed. Wasn't the snow awesome!!!

OH I miss the snow...but only a little.

Oh BTW. Tagged you!

We went to Utah for Christmas and our kids came down with the stomach flu before we came home...not fun!
It looks like the rest of your vacation was fun, though...and ours was too :-)

I can't help thinking that sometimes being a bad blogger makes me a better wife and mother. It's interesting how that happens. Sometimes you have to take a break and live for a while so you have something to write about.

Can I start to blog?
