It's Tough...

...potty training when you have bigger responsibilities:

I'd say Grandma's winning the potty training war- Pedro's doing great with #1; he gets lots of practice since he seems to go every 3 1/2 minutes. Number 2 has yet to be released into his potty.

Please advise- how do we get him to do #2 on the potty?

Yea for grandma! There isn't any trick that I know of- and trust me when I say you do not want to know how my youngest son finally decided to. My girls were much easier, and my oldest refused, but once it was his idea- it was a done deal.

Good Luck!!!

I think you have to catch him when he is ready to go...or maybe it will just happen since he seems to be spending a good amount of time on the potty these days. As I told your mom, he is going to love these pictures when he is 15.

Yeah you just have to catch them when they are ready to go #2, there is no other way that I have figured out. We are still(!!!!!!) having issues with poo six months into potty training Harry. He is loads better but now and then just when I think he has it down he has an accident.

I'm glad Grandma is winning! I think having Pedro sit on the potty a lot and being consistent will produce positive #2 results. :-) I'm glad you have help with the potty training...lucky you!

My kids had pretty predictable poops. Peristalsis usually triggers the bowels sometime within an hour after a meal is eaten. I would set the kids on the pot about half an hour after they ate, and ask them if their bellys felt hot. Weird I know, but I didn't know how else to describe it to them. My son was way easier then my daughter. Lulu still pees her pants at 4 1/2. I also did the throw out the poopy underwear thing and told them if they messed their new undies they were going in the garbage. With Lmx we went through 3 pair. Lulu went through like 6.
