...to Big City Mexico that is. Tomorrow is the big day. I will make my way through airport security, once again as a single mom to my three little ones, without juice boxes, gels, toothpaste, neosporin, make-up, anti-bacterial hand lotion, or anything of the like. I had Floam in their backpacks, but took it out imagining the scene Juan Carlos (3 yrs) would throw watching his Floam get confiscated for its gel-like consistency. Thank goodness we 'll be able to take carry-ons on the plane.
Three kids + 3 1/2 hour flight +one parent with "morning" sickness - toys = Serious Nightmare
Tomorrow we start a new life, again. I have never felt less stress with a move. Not to say I am totally calm, but I think will sleep well tonight. Probably partly because Guapo and my dad already did the actual move part of it. But a move is always more than the physical movement of people and belongings. Tomorrow we begin again to make new friends, start a new school, find grocery stores, doctors, parks, restaurants, learn how to drive in a new place, find our niche in a new ward etc. etc. I have a good feeling about this move and am looking forward to getting settled into our new life.
We may not have Internet for a little while, so I'll post as soon as I can!

Have a happy trip! I'd be throwing a fit at not being able to take my mascara, so my hat's off to you! Hope you feel well while you travel and the kids behave. :)
I'll miss you, while you're not posting, but will be sending only good thoughts and prayers your way. Gabs, remember to take it easy on yourself as you settle in. You don't have to accomplish everything the 1st week. Congratulations on graduating to the big city. I hope it's wonderful
Yay! Your new adventure begins! I'm sorry to hear your morning sickness hit again. Hopefully it was just related to a little pretrip excitement. Like the upset tummy I used to get before the first day of school. I will pray your trip goes smoothly and look forward to hearing about life in Big City Mexico!
(I'm 10 weeks along, due March 10th. And you?)
I am so excited for you, Gabs! Good luck with the flight. I hope you feel better soon.
Good luck!
How exciting and scary! I hope that things go well on your flight. Once you get settled, let us all know how things are going.
Congratulations on your new adventure!
good luck on the flight,
I love to move, although we haven't done it in a while. Have fun discovering your new world!
Good luck on the flight!! Sorry about the morning sickness.
Hope you get settled in and feel right at home. I can't wait to hear about your Big Town adventures!
Good luck ... not only with the move but with the carry-ons...I haven't flown yet since the new rules but have a mental list of all that I will NOT be taking (I always felt prepared for any emergency). I will miss reading your posts hope you settle in well! Stay happy!
Gabriela, I willl pray for you as you embark on new territory. Are you moving due to Guapos job? Are yall missionaries? I dont think I have ever found through your posts about your frequent moves. Your journey is facinating and I have enjoyed you emensely. I will keep coming back for the adventure!!
Have a safe trip.
Gabs: cuando leas esto lo mas seguro es que estes en el DF, si no, espero que todo salga muy bien, you are a very brave woman, hugs and best wishes your way.
Con cariƱo, BOFF
I hope it went well, and that you love your new place.
Good luck!!! I hope that your trip goes smoothly and that you have an easy time finding your way around the new city.
I've read many of your comments on other blogs and I have FINALLY checked out your blog. Good luck with your move and pregnancy! I look forward to hearing about life in a new place and your growing baby :-)
That really does sound like a lot of fun.....the plane experience I mean.
I hope you have a safe trip and get settled in soon, finding your "place" in a new place.
I'll miss you while you're "out of commission". Hopefully you'll be up and running again soon. Good luck with the move!
Wish you the best!!!! You're the best adventurer! I hope I can be like you...
We made it! I'll try to post tonight.
Millie: my kids ask me if we're going to church when I have make-up on, so it wasn't really a sacrifice. The water bottles-now that was a sacrifice.
Grammy: thanks for the SUPER advice. I keep reminding myself as I look around the place.
Nettie: I am due the 11 of March!
Paulette: it's Guapo's job that keeps us moving.
BOFF: Muchas Gracias.
Have fun exploring Big City! Hope you feel much better.
Congrats making it to Big City Mexico and Good Luck learning to drive in it! I tried once -- it wasn't pretty.
And you are still keeping up with blogging......I'm so impressed.
