Two days in a row after two months of blogging inactivity.
Wow.
Margarita left for Girls' Camp today. It was so fun to see her with her new friends all excited at the church this morning before they took off for 3 days of camping in Wyoming. I have to say, the 12 year olds were way more enthusiastic than say, the 14 year olds. The 14's and up were a little too cool for school. So, I think Margarita should just stay a 12 year old forever.
Poor thing got stung by a vengeful wasp on Sunday evening. Right on the eyelid-ouch. Initially it didn't swell, but by Monday morning she looked like this:
Poor thing, she wore sunglasses for two days straight.
We will miss her the next few days.

I went to a yoga class today; I got a bad case of the giggles (while the room was dead silent, of course) when the instructor said in her soft, soothing, yoga voice, "breath into the sleeping pigeon."

Funny! Don't feel bad about lack of blogging- many of us are guilty lately. I have been harrassed by my son, mother, and a couple of sisters. What can I say, it is a busy time.
My daughter just turned 12 today. She missed Girl's Camp this year, but she gets to do Baptisms on Friday. Hope yours has a great time!
Ugh--a wasp!
Funny, Teresa had an eye injury just before camp last year (her first year) too...kind of lost her balance sitting on a still swing (??!?) and totally scraped up the skin around her eye! It scabbed up and looked much worse than it was. We did the sunglasses thing for awhile too. The Beehives do love camp! :)
I can't stand yoga!!! Sorry, just a personal opinion expressed here, but try a pilates class if you can find one! A different kind of challenge without all the goofy (Again, my opinion) language in "soft, flowy feathery" voices! ;)
I bet Margarita will have a blast! We are back today...a new post coming shortly.
Miss u, BG
I agree with BG 100%, I can't stand yoga and I am a HUGE Pilates fan.
Poor Margarita, I've been stung by a bee on my arm and it was painful. I feel for her poor eye!! I hope she is having a wonderful time ; )
Yay, another post. :-) I really miss hearing from you when you don't blog. But of course I understand because I go through my own phases of inactivity, too.
Poor Margarita! I have come a long way with my fear of getting stung, but I do better around bees than wasps.
I hope Margarita has a great time at Girls Camp! I noticed a huge difference between 12 and 14 year olds when I was a YW leader. The 12 year olds are much more willing to be active in the program and they enjoy it. I think we'll pass on the 14 year old stage, too!
Ouch, that must have hurt :/
Yay for girls' camp :)
I'd have totally laughed too. Sleeping pigeon, mwhahaha.
It's so much fun to have you back. I am glad that you are adjusting! I can't believe you have a 12 year old daughter :O) As for girls camp, I think it really depends on the group of girls. I loved going all of the years I went.
As you know, I am a big fan of Girls Camp. Hope she has fun.
