No, I'm not pregnant, but thanks for thinking of me that way. You know, after last week, I am would now be considered a "high risk" pregnancy because of my age. :)
After 9 years, 3 countries, 4 apartments and 1 house, 2 kids born overseas, umpteen maids, 2 foreign languages, and so much more, our Big News is that we are hanging up our passports for a season and moving stateside-specifically Colorado, more specifically the town where I grew up. Guapo is changing careers and we're going to try something new.
We're all very excited about it.
But, ending this chapter of my life is hard. It has changed me for the rest of my life and I will always be grateful we did it. I'm having lots of mixed emotions right now. Hopefully in the next 3 1/2 weeks before we fly out of here, I'll be able to write about it a bit.
(and, this is why my blog has been so Lame (capital "L") the last couple of months- it's been hard not to mention it when it's all I've been thinking about. Hopefully I'll still have things to blog about when we're in the good ole US of A)
And now, as you can imagine, I am in serious organizing mode. More later...

I am speechless...must be an extremely exciting time for you all. For sure you'll have lots to blog about when you are back in the States. I will look forward to your stories about getting used to life back there again!
Well! You guys are awesome. Time for a new chapter, and I can't think of a better place to have a U.S. chapter! We love Colorado.
It will be great to have you so much closer! I was thinking it must have taken some guts for Dan to break the news to TDW!

Glad to know the news is out. Welcome home or to "the States" as you expats call it.
I am SO HAPPY for you!! I've been thinking and praying for you that everything would workout the way you wanted ; )
I think I will have to go to Rio more often and have lunch with BG (if she stays in Rio)....
I can't wait to hear all the new adventures ; )
Wow!! Big changes always come with mixed feelings and I'm sure you'll continue to have lots of those. So what will be Guapo's new career?
Congrats on the big changes ahead. We just spent the weekend in Glenwood- I can't even imagine how it would be to spend that much time in different countries, let alone raising kids- kudos!
Oh this is very exciting! news!
ITA with Nikko and k-cube's mom, I can't wait to read it all :)
Congratulations! :D
Ballerina Girl is sure going to miss you :(
My 2 guesses for your big news were A)Your moving B)You're pregnant. :-)
This is exciting news! Good luck getting everything organized and packed for the big move. I look forward to hearing more about this change in your lives.
The fact that you guys will be in CO so soon is starting to make me feel isolated out here in the East. Everyone else will be partying in the West and we'll be far away...come visit!
Also, LOL to "No, I'm not pregnant, but thanks for thinking of me that way."
P.S. Don't you want to get pregnant? One more? A CO native? So that our future children have a cousin that is semi close to their age? Come on, do it for us;)
Welcome Home! I hope all the moving goes well. Happy packing!
Wow!!! that is a lot of change. I don't always like the changes before they come, but they are always good in the long run.
Holy Cow! I hadn't heard this. This is huge. I'll have to get the scoop from Guaco. I'm so excited to be able to at least see you guys more often. Can't wait to get the whole scoop.
