I am sure most of you have seen this little letter game. My friend Steph over at For Better or for Worse assigned me the letter "B". So, I had to come up with 10 words that start with "B" and explain why. If anyone hasn't played this game yet and would like too, let me know in the comments and I will assign you a letter.
1. Brows. Guapo and I were abundantly blessed in this regard. Poor Juan Carlos (3) is suffering the genetic consequences. His eyebrows are about 1/2" in width already. At least he has blond hair (for now!).
2. Biology. I got my BS and my MS in biology.
3. Bamboo Hut and Brick Oven. My two favorite places to eat while I was attending #4. Do any of you Utahans know if the Bamboo Hut is still open? I would love to go there this summer.
4. BYU. My alma mater. Go cougars (said weakly as I was never the most faithful fan).
5. Bast***d. My first brush with profanity. When I was 4, my dad was carrying me up some stairs in our house and I hit my head on a hanging plant and proceeded to call the plant the aforementioned word. I can still remember the look on my dad's face.
6. Brazil. One of the countries we could possibly go to after our stay in Mexico.
7. Bangkok, Buenos Aires, Boston, Barcelona. Four places I would like to visit.
8. Brothers. I've got two. Great guys.
9. Banana Bread. Love it. While I was on bed rest with Margarita someone brought me over a yummy loaf with a crumb topping. Anyone have a similar recipe?
10. Bungee Jumping. NEVER. EVER. Couldn't pay me enough.

Mmmmmmm! Banana Bread. You couldn't get me to Bungee Jump either!
Never tasted banana bread with crumb topping before...sounds yummy.
oooo can I have a letter?
I want a letter, how fun.
Tess gets an "S" and Txmommy gets a "W". Good luck!
Me too! Can I have a letter?
My alma mater is also BYU and I also was never a faithful Cougar fan. Unfortunately now I root for different Cougars -- those at WSU!
I have a recipe for the Banana Bread w/ crumb topping. I'll post it later today.
And Brazil? That sounds intriguing. Are you up for learning Portugues?
Hi Anna, nice to meet you. You get a "C".
Handiemom: I would love to learn "Pork-a-cheese" as my son calls it. It sounds more exotic than Spanish, don't you think?
Thanks for the Banana bread recipe, I can't wait. I've got three very ripe bananas.
go cougars...
I am a fairweather fan as well:)
I have to submit as a LOYAL over the top Cougar fan. I wake my kids up every morning with the fight song. Rise and shout the cougars are out! Go cougars!
Brows...hilarious. And can I just say that every time I read "Guapo" I laugh - such a great name. My husband wishes it was his "name," too.
Can't help you with Brick Oven or Bamboo Hut...I went to USU.
Ha! Bast*** was my first memorable word on the edge...In fourth or fifth grade we had to write our own continuation for a chapter in the Three Musketeers (I think it was) and one of the lines of dialogue in my story was one of the more seedy pirates calling someone a bloody one. My teacher's face turned read when I read it aloud. Oops.
Hook me up with a letter.
Both Brick Oven and Bamboo Hut are still there. And again, Go Cougars!
OH too yummy!!When you find your recipe pass it my way!!
You all are quite the travelers!
I love banana bread, too. My mom makes a great low-fat recipe that I actually like better than a recipe with fat. Doesn't have a crumb topping, but it's still awesome! Let me know if you'd like the recipe!
ditto on the Bungee thing.....how can you trust some stranger with a big rubber band who says....go ahead I've gotcha! Love the game....assign me a letter (I'm dying for blog fodder!)
"The Letter S" by Tess
Code Yellow Mom: I'm giving you an "F" and hoping their were no "F" words in your story!
Kristen: I would love the recipe! Thanks.
Bright One: How about an "M"?
Janice: I am impressed with your loyalty!
Handiemom's banana bread recipe is posted on her site (I would add a link here, but I haven't a clue how)
Gabriela, you are so international. So Brazil might be next, how many languages do you speak?
I'm with you on #10 (but then again, I'm not adventurous at all).
I'm afraid to ask for a letter, since I have no cool stories at all.
Hey, one more thing Gabriela since I got your back and all:
Banana Bread recipe from handiemom
I hear you on the Bungee Jumping. Not even for a million bucks, and that buys a ton of banana bread...
I hear ya on the brows. I pluck, hubby is nearly the unibrow type. Our kids? Only time will tell . . .
Of course the brick oven is in the same place... love it too! And the bamboo hut moved over by shopko and olive garden... mmmm, ono chicken and kalua pork...
No Cool Story:
Thanks for hooking me up.
I just speak English and Spanish, which, somedays is more like Spanglish, so make the 3 languages!
If you do decide you want to play, I give you a "T". I'm sure you've got some cool stories left.
What a fun game!! My sister just gave me a letter. I love your blog!
I love what you did with B. Tell me, what would you do with a five-year old that is already starting to develop a unibrow? I have hardly any eyebrows so I don't know what to do! I don't want her to look like Bert from Sesame Street!
Are you coming to Utah this summer? We should have a Utah bloggirls dinner! (only if you have time of course)
Love your post on B. I am with you on the Bungee jumping, never in a million years!
I'd ask for a letter but Steph already gave me P.
Kristen I'd love the low fat BB recipe. I am doing Weight Watchers, so I am skipping the fat. :P
I have often read blogs with this game, but have never been invited to participate. I would love it if you could send me a letter!
Thank You
